These Easy Peanut Butter Cookies are an American Classic
Did you know that this peanut butter cookies recipe dates bake from the 1910s? They truly are an American classic recipe!
Super easy to make, and incredibly delicious!
You won’t believe how delicious these 3-ingredient cookies are. They are so easy to make, and take close to no time to bake. All you need is peanut butter (we always recommend to go for 100% peanut brands), some sugar and an egg. We chose a crunchy peanut butter to add some extra texture to our cookies but you can definitely choose a smooth version. As for the sugar, you can use white or brown sugar, as you fancy!
Then once all your ingredients are ready, you just need to mix them, shape balls of dough (about 30 grams each) and place them on parchment paper. Use a fork to give them their traditional pattern. You can do so by pressing it against your dough on one side, and press again perpendicularly to give that criss-cross shape.
Slide them in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden at 180 degrees celsius (about 370 degrees Fahrenheit), et voilà ! They will be soft when they come out of the oven, but they will harden as they cook.
